The rise in popularity of bowhunting turkeys has led to a more recent proliferation of fixed-blade broadheads with extremely wide cutting diameters designed specifically for head shots. At the very least they’ll break a turkey’s neck and will often sever the head. Some, such as the original Gobbler Guillotine from Arrowdynamic Solutions, require specific arrows. Others, such as the Magnus Bullhead and the Turkey Lopper from Hartcraft, can be used with standard arrows. However, make sure there is enough clearance around your rest, riser and riser hand when your bow is fully drawn. If not, use longer arrows.
