Sadler McGraw, of Camden, Ala., topped an all-star field Saturday to win the Senior Division at the 2012 World Championship Turkey Calling Contest in Mobile, Ala. McGraw also won the world title in the owl-hooting division.
McGraw scored 389. Runner-up Wayne Dozier, of Grove Hill, Ala., tallied 385.5 points. Former World and Grand Nationals champ Shane Hendershot, of Zanesville, Ohio, took third. Former Grand Nationals winner Billy Yargus, of Ewing, Mo., was fourth, and 2012 NWTF Head-to-Head champion Jesse Martin, of Mt. Sterling, Ky., took fifth.
Bobby Woods, of Dante, Va., won the friction division. Scott Wilhelm, of Chippewa Falls, Wis., took the gobbling title.
The win marks first the major title in an open division for McGraw, of Southland Custom Game Calls. He finished second at the 2006 Grand Nationals, 2007 Worlds and 2008 U.S. Open, and he won the friction titles at the 2007 U.S. Open, 2008 Worlds and 2009 Grand Nationals.
