Mossberg’s 930 Turkey is my go-to shotgun for spring pursuits. I’ve dropped toms under most imaginable circumstances with this trusted semiauto platform, and the best part is Mossberg designed two 930 models specifically for turkey hunters: one with a standard stock, one with a pistol grip. Both are covered in Mossy Oak Obsession camo. Ribs are fitted with adjustable fiber-optic sights, but it’s easy to add your favorite optic to the drilled and tapped receivers. Personalize the fit for better shooting with an integrated stock-drop system. The “3” in 930 means they’re chambered for 3-inch shotshells.

The 535 ATS (All-Terrain Shotgun) family is Mossberg’s answer to hunters who demand magnum versatility in a durable pump action. All the 535 ATS models can handle 31/2-inch loads. Turkey hunters can choose from four options: a no-frills version with a traditional stock; a tactical version with an adjustable stock and pistol grip; a pistol grip/red-dot sight combo with a user-adjustable trigger; or a new model built on a traditional stock that incorporates a Marble Arms Bullseye sighting system. The fourth option is what I used with utmost confidence to kill the Gould’s gobbler in my World Slam.
