I took the land owners son hunting last Sunday for youth season, it snowed all morning. I was joking about school being canceled on Monday when we were walking out of the field. It snowed all night, and school was canceled...
Despite the snow, we heard 5 gobblers; they started gobbling at 5:45 and didn't stop until about 7. I talked to hen, as she made her way over the two mature birds following her gobbled their brains out. As she got closer to us, the two mature birds drifted off to a far corner of the pasture and disappeared (still gobbled at my occasional yelp or cutt).
Just because he isn't gobbl'n, doesn't mean he isn't listen'n!
