Cherry and Oak

Here's two pots I just finished up this weekend. The first is an oak slate over maple. I've worked with oak before but have never turned it before, but I was really impressed with how it turned out. Maple is quickly becoming one of my favorite soundboards and it compliments the oak nicely. I was very impressed with that pot. The oak is 210+ years old with a tight grain pattern and wonderful color. The second is a cherry slate over cherry that's for a friend here in KY. Thanks for looking!!

Those are very nice. I love the old aged woods like your oak, it seems that they create a sweeter sound.
