Good luck A season hunters. I start B season which I suspect is why there is snow in the forecast.
I've heard only a single lone shot so far. The jakes are in gangs, the toms are following the hens who are for the most part single now and calling the toms. In spite of the 20 degree temps there is gobbling just before sunrise and then it quickly quits as the hens get their man.

They're in the same phase across the big lake here Scott. Gobblers still hanging together and chasing each other around, hens pretty much split up.

First lottery season begins here tomorrow as well.

This morning I was almost happy I did not have an open season--saved me from myself; all that snow blowing sideways in the 30 mph wind. Hope that got out of the system now.
