2nd Season

Alright, I am going to stir the pot here.
 
Why is Fall hunting, turkey hunting's second season? (as under the main forum section title) I think there were fall seasons before spring seasons.

maybe they say "2nd season" because the spring comes before the fall in a calander year,myself i like chasin them in the fall

Yea, I thought the same, but here in VA the hunting lisences run from July to July putting the fall turkey first. [;)]

i'm just GLAD we have 2 seasons in ohio. and to choose which would be my favorite,,,,,well i guess it'd be fall. less hunters and more days to hunt. now i'm hopin' they'll up the limit in the fall .
