I'm up by Lake Erie. Heard and saw 7 long beards gobbling their heads off at 4PM last week. Birds pretty bunched up. Felow hunters please take note the ticks are bad already, never had to worry about them around here but did have a bad expierence in Ky a few yrs back that but me down for weeks and wiped out all but the 1st 3 days for Pa and NY one year. Please take precautions. My grand son had 5 on him after a hike.

Haven't seen the big flock at the Gap lately.

Starting to suspect the breeding season will soon be underway.

I looked for them early thismorning and mid afternoon but didnt see anything but you can bet there not too far away. The birds are very quiet right now I guess there just in that cycle and if you do hear them its at first light.

i think this "cooler" weather is going to be great.. i have a good feeling its going to produce some good hunting. oh and i hate sweating my b@!!s off climbing all over the mountains.. so ill be enjoying the cooler weather hahah..

I have a feeling this is going to be a great spring turkey season! The weather is weird all over but I think that is going to work to the advantage of turkey hunters all across the state! Only a couple more days left and I am having trouble sleeping at night already, anticipating opening morning and what might happen. Sunrise Saturday is at 0602hrs, I plan to be set up with decoys out by 0530 on a farm in Susquehanna County tree yelping. There were a ton of Jakes up there last year so I am thinking this spring should turn out to be phenomenal (I passed on 16 different jakes on the farm this last spring)! Good luck to everyone else who is going out, enjoy and stay safe out there!!!

Well its decision time.

The place I had scouted out the past month had no gobbling today. Lots of poop, but none fresh. I would say its in the 2-5 day range.

Not sure if I should stick to the spot or try an old honey hole that I haven't scouted at all this year.
