I received my March 2009 issue today and when I read the editorial, I understood the "Thank You" post.

I have read many hunting magazines over the years and have enjoyed them. There has been however, something very special about "Turkey & Turkey Hunting". It has not been difficult to see how much Jim Schlender has really enjoyed his work and how immersed he has been in it.

It is always nice to see good work rewarded and that's exactly what's happened in Jim's case. A promotion to Editorial Director and Publisher of the Firearms and Knives Division of F+W Media, is in part  a recognition of his work and a reflection of confidence in his ability to do even more.

Congratulations Jim!

Your presence and writing will be missed at "Turkey & Turkey Hunting" but the company overall will be very well served by your promotion.
