That was a good article, Morgan.  I have enjoyed that series.  Nunnery was my kind of guy; he had no use for decoys either.  I liked how he said it in that the turkeys are too close in the woods for decoys to be useful and something like it was cheating to use them in a field.  That's right, boys, cheating.  And who gets cheated, why the guy who uses them, that's who.

It was a real pleasure to read that article. I paused for a moment when I got to the part about decoys. Wondered how some folks would take it . I know a lot of hunters use them and I'm fine with that. Personally I like to be the one that completely fools the bird. been on both sides of the fence on this one and must say the reward is sweeter when it boils down to woodsmanship and calling. I fail more than win when it comes to turkeys but I'm still learning and have improved over time.
