a hens nest

gotta a question that i don't know the answer to.
yesterday while sewing in a food-plot, i ran over part of a hen's nest, damaging 1 egg. she had a total of 10 eggs in the nest. i took the damaged one and discarded it and did not disturb the rest.will she return to the nest or will it be abandoned? i am really not sure why she had a nest in this area to begin with. open pasture, low lying grass, in between 2 cedar trees. not much cover at all.

Sewing or sowing or mowing?  This is not a good time to be using machinery.
Why be good when you can B-Mobile or Spin & Strut.

yes, machinery. i am very cautious when doing so because of the nesting hens. with that being said, i have never had any hens nesting in this area before. the surroundings do not give them any cover whatsoever, that is why i was surprised with her being there.
