Flintlock Smoothbores

Good to see you are still around.  Thought you might have gone over the rainbow the way you dropped from sites.  I have been considering a two barrel set of .69 rifle and 10 bore full choke flint.  Be a moose/turkey combo.

Recently subscribed to T&TH and then got notified about this forum, figured I'd see what's going on.
 
A .69 & .10ga are some big bores for sure...punched my tags last year with my .62cal Flintlock but haven't made a spark yet this season...just don't seem to have the birds around where I hunt in NC like there was last year...very little gobbling, etc...had one at 50 yards but 40 is my max and had to pass on him...going to try again tomorrow morning then Saturday and our season will be over.
