Identify Turkey Scat

Postby GearJammer » April 28th, 2008, 4:03 pm

[8|] Hey guys. Is there a good website or book that would help me identify turkey scat and other animals? I have seen a bunch of tracks around me but no other signs. Thanks for the help!  [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Here is a Google Image page that shows numerous turkey poops.  The gobbler poops are the ones that are hooked, like a J.  The hen poops are just a blob.

Take a small bite of any turkey poop you find.  The hen poop is bitter, but the gobbler poop has a sweet taste.  They both smell the same.  Go figure.

Yep. Tastes like turkey poop.

Good thing we didn't step in it!
