Favorite turkey writer

I like Jim Schlender, but my favorite in T&TH is Brian Lovett. I would love to turkey hunt with him someday.

I'll cast my vote for Scott Bestul. He's a truly talented and avid gobbler-chaser. Moreover, he's a great guy.

My fave is Jim Spencer. Just read his article here on the slate call which is awesome. I refer to his Turkey Hunting Digest every Spring to tune myself up.

Recently, I've seen a couple articles from Greg Lobas that rival Jim's humor and style. Hope to see more from him.

Well to throw my hat into the ring I would have to say my favorite writer is Jim Casada. I find his articles on the beginings of the sport we all know and love to be very enlightening and informative. He has a style that while you read his work it's almost as if your sitting at camp listening to him.

Lovett Williams is my choice.
 
His article is always the first one I read. That man knows more about turkeys than any one that I have ever heard of.
 
I am listed in the acknowledgments in his book "After the Hunt". I had an interesting talk with him on the phone about multiple bearded turkeys. If I had got ahold of him earlier before the books was about to go to press there would have been pictures of the multibeards I had harvested in the book.
