I did this one a while back, but kept forgetting to show it

. This is Black Ash Burl with a slate over limba. The wood came from Rev. Jack pappy Lewis. Thanks for looking, Scott

Why do you think it would chip easy?

Charlie,
Maybe what Steve meant was that it might chip easily while it was being turned. Just guessing.

Sometimes a wild grain will "blow out" when you send it through a planer or router-shaper.
