I know turkeys have really good eyesight what I am curious about is do they see colors?

All current scientific and biological evidence indicates that turkeys do see in color. They also have the ability to see ultraviolet light so be sure to wash your camo in a phosphate free detergent.

That is the 1st time I've ever heard that.....what kinds of detergents don't have phosphates?

Most all hunter's detergents are scent and phosphate free. I use the Hunter's Specialty Scent-A-Way pictured below. Wildlife Research and Atsko also make hunter's detergents. Most all household detergents- Tide, All, Purex, etc., DO contain phosphates (brighteners). If you turkey hunt in the same camo you deer hunt in, and most guys do, might as well keep it scent and UV free year around. The HS Scent-Away is economical....you only need a capful per load....a single bottle will last you an entire year even if you hunt hard.
