Thank you Jon. It was indeed a "story book" classic hunt. The only way it could have been better is if Granddad had scored as well but he was just as happy as if he had. From the look in his eyes, I suspect that we have added another lifer to our ranks.

Hey Wayne,

Thank you. It was a great hunt. The other good news is that my friend and his grandson can still hunt the rest of the season together. Granddad still has his unfilled tag and grandson still has another unfilled tag, so the fun for them has just begun.

There is nothing quite like seeing the excitement in another hunter's eyes when they harvest their first turkey.

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who uses that same technique to break them up, it works well. Good job, glad you enjoyed it.
