A Gibson Original

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » August 19th, 2011, 12:59 pm

Here is one you won't find many of. It's an original Presentation Gibson that slipped through the cracks. A beautiful call that Henry made a Boo Boo on. Read the name on the lid.

That call surfaced when Bill Jones sold his call collection. It was bought by a collecter from Washington St. From what I've been able to find out about it. I was asked to do a presentation call repo for a guy that has an original presentation gibson so he can hunt with it. He was using his call until he found out what it was worth, ( $25,000.00 + ) now it's under lock and key.

The original Gibson "Tukey Call' which is what the call in the picture is,is in Lynn Gouldman's collection in Colorado . Irving Whitt did a duplicate of the tukey call...as far as one slipping through the cracks...not in this case, the "Tukey Call " is a well known call among vintage collectors .
