10 gauge

Any of you use a 10 gauge. My house was recently buralarized and I'm in the market for a new gun. Was thinking of the Browning 10 gauge. Any suggestions?

Remington makes a SP-10, i believe that it is autoloader.
Stats show that it does not kick any more than a 12 with 3 1/2" shells.

I have the Mossberg 935 turkey model since it became available and it has done me well. If I lost it I certainly would replace it with another of the same.

I used to have a Zabala (Spanish-made) side by side 10 Ga. double barrel. Even though it weighed around 11 pounds, that thing would kill from the front and cripple behind. I made the mistake of pulling both triggers at the same time exactly once. The triggerguard cut my nuckles and it knocked me up on one leg. It made the geese fall like rain though. Of course, I'm a long ways from being the biggest man out there & I probably weighed 160 pounds at the time. I shot many ducks and geese with that gun, but I sold it to a friend, who killed a deer with it @ 55 yards with one head shot. He was a huskier guy and that gun suited him better.

I know RedDawg on this forum uses a 10 gauge and he absolutely wears the turkeys out with his. Good luck with whatever firearm you choose. Just remember not to sit with the back of your shoulder tight up against a tree when you shoot a 10 gauge, 'cause it might leave a mark.

I used to shoot an American Arms 10ga double for years, as Jim said they will boot you around a bit more that a 12ga will. I put a gel pad on the back of mine and that took care of a lot of the kick.

I thought Browing made a NWTF 10 guage, im probably wrong but i thought i seen it somewhere. Ive never personally shot one but id say that you could put the smack down on a turkey easily, and like everyone else said im sure it'd kick like a mule.
