I am going to be hunting the Santa Fe National Forest/ lands NW of Jemez Springs to Cuba, NM. First year here in NM. Any suggestions for area? I have scouted, seems beautiful, but no gobbling heard in two past weekends.

Over here on the East side of The SF National Forest the turkeys have been gobbling on the roost for the past 14 days.  Still pretty quiet on the ground though.  Are you finding fresh scratches and poop?  -Ethan

Very little. Was guessing maybe I was too high in elevation. Will find out on Saturday when I go back up to start hunting... planning to start in Bluebird Mesa area.

Wondering how your hunt went, I am actually getting ready to go to the same area, the weekend after Easter for my very First Turkey hunt. And I am extremely excited!
