My Father's first Rio and first archery bird

Postby Nutty » April 10th, 2011, 4:59 pm

My father completed his US slam this Spring (March 2011) with a hunt to Texas.  He hunted three days for a nice bird.  He was able get this 19.5 pound Rio Grande with a 9.5 inch beard late in the morning on his last day.  To make the hunt even more memorable, this was the first turkey he has ever gotten with his bow.

Don Good from Easton, PA, age 67 (he turns 68 this coming week).
