Benelli Super Nova

Does anyone here hunt with a Benelli Super Nova.I bought one last year and an HS undertaker choke I'm shooting a federal 3.5 with 2 oz of #6 shot .My patterning shots have been 7 shots in the zone 3 shots in the zone and 5 shots in the kill zone.This combo as a lot of probably already know is absolutely brutal on my poor ole shoulder and my shots aren't really providing me with any confidence of killing a turkey.I have a six month old son and really cannot afford to keep buying choked and outrageously expensive shells.If anyone here owns one of these guns or anyone could just give me some advice on what I could maybe try to get my patterns better it would be greatly appreciated.I guess I should also include th fact that I took those shots at 45 yards.HELP!

I SHOOT A TRUGLO STRUT. STOPPER XTREME CHOKE TUBE WITH REM 3 INCH 6 SHOT 1 3/8 0Z WINGMASTER HD VELOCITY 1450 FPS. SHOT TWO BIRDS LAST YEAR AT AROUND 35 YARDS DROP THEM IN THEIR TRACKS.THEY WORK FOR ME. EVERY GUN SHOOTS DIFFERNT. GOOD LUCK.

Oh i love my gun i dont love the beating my shoulder takes with those big loads.lol i think i will try your combo out those tru glo strut stoppers are fairly reasonably priced chokes.Thanks for the info.

Before you even try another choke, I'd try the 3" shells first. You might be suprized how much different your pattern is and may like what you got.

I hunt with a 12 gauge nova.  Briley extended tube.  I get good patterns and very dead turkeys with three inch federal premium 5s.  3 and 1/2 inch shells are not worth the added kick IMO.

I have a nova and use a kicks gobblin thunder choke and it produces very nice patterns. A buddy of mine uses a tight wad choke in his and he gets very nice patterns with it. My buddy and I did some testing last week using fiocca, kent, and winchester supreme shells in 3 and 3 1/2". By far hands down, the winchester sumpreme 3 1/2 #4 shot did the best. It kept the same pattern and point of aim at 20 yds to 45 yds. I hope this info helps you and good luck this spring.

Hey guys! I have just recently bought the Benelli SuperNova with the Pistol Grip. It is an amazing gun that shoots well. I recommend it to anyone. But i need a turkey choke and i dont have a lot of money left over from buying this gun. Im using the remington #4 shot and i have been looking at the gobblin thunder but that is way to much money for a choke that i can afford to buy? any suggestions?
