The general page for the annual turkey hunting contest. Tons of fun even if you're not on a team.

Its our annual trip about 12 guys on a 10000 acre ranch loaded with turkeys so hopefully I can post some pics of a bird come this Sunday. Thanks for letting me join your group.

Thanks Mark and good luck to everybody also.  I will be making a late season hunt with Scott from WillowRidgeCalls.  He is coming down and hunting with me on my property.  It will be nice hunting with a pro,  I am still a newbie and need all the help I can.  Scoot

Good luck TXlongbeard,  start it out right with a big one.  Mark where you talking about WillowRidge Scott or your teammate Scott being the lucky dog?  Maybe the old pro will learn a new thing or two from this young slayer?  I can't wait.  Scoot

Yeppers that is going to be a fun weekend, teammates and competitors. Hopefully we'll have a couple of hangers by the end of it. Even though it's the 5th season and the birds will of had some preasure put on them from earlier hunts we should do well, weather permitting.

I figure if a big ol longbeard gets called in by WillowRidgeCalls or me I will make some noise so bird runs off.  That way I am helping our team out.  If two birds come in I will shoot the first and scare second one off.  I have this all planned so I hope he doesn't read this post.  [:)][:)] Scoot
