That was the second one they had on there lately. The first one was built prior to his patent and sold for just over $30,000.
Your right Jon a Gibson call isn't the best sounding call in the world, because of what they were made from. Gibson used cedar for most of his calls, and with that design it was to soft of wood to play desent, that and the fact that most modern day callers try to play them like you would a Cost style call and you can't do that. They have a very unique way of playing and if you try to run them like a Cost style box they sound like crap.
