our second first turkey

well great news we went out yesterday and my wife got her first turkey. we set up along the same trail i got mine we had been there a couple hours and were starting to wonder if we had been skunked when just about dark this guy started moving through he was headed along a different trail about thirty yards away headed towards some roost trees. unfortunately my wife got him and he started flopping around and rolled right down the hill to us but he tore up his tail on the way through. on the way home my son informed me he needed a shotgun and his hunter safety so he could get one next year.
its been a great year weve been watching and waitng for our chance. this was our first year drawing tags and we have filled two of three. he had 8 3/4 beard and 3/4 spurs. i believe these are rios i am not sure though in this area i know there are both rios and merriams.

Man you're turning your family into formidable assaut squad.
 
This worked out great and I know here it is very tough to kill a bird this late in the season. You must've done some very good scouting.
