Tennessee Maple Burl

Postby Stoner » February 24th, 2011, 8:43 am

This call was made from Maple Burl from a tree on a farm in Clay County Tennessee. The striker is Bubinga and Maple Burl, you will note the acorn carved on the cap of the striker. Pretty call and sounds all turkey. The neat thing about this call is the wood came from a tree that I have sat under during spring gobbler season  in Tennessee several times.

Love the call stoner and that's super neat that you were able to turn that from a tree you've hunted from before. Bet it sounds sweet too[;)]

Mr. Smith,

Love your designs, the stippling on the striker is top notch. I would like to see you use a finer tip sharpie when you sign your calls though.
