I havent been on here much lately but I thought I would let you fellas know about my hunt this morning. When daylight started breaking the snow started falling and the fog rolled into the knobs where I was hunting. As you can imagine the birds werent doing nothing, never heard any birds or seen any.
At about 10:00 the snow let up a little bit and I decided to try a new location. The first field I checked I spotted a flock of gobblers and made a plan to move on them. Before I could get into position though I spotted a flock of hens that was in a lot better position to work. I was within seventy yards of the birds so I let out some Kee Kee's with some excited yelps and got the lead hen talking. It wasnt just a couple of minutes and she led the flock right down the fence row to me. At about 25 yards I let her have it and ended my wet and cold morning. Hopefully I will catch up with those toms before the week is up.
