Here's a couple. There' s no turkeys in them, but it's part of what makes fall a great season.

Great looking pictures there eggshell.  I guided/helped two of my friends harvest their first turkeys this past weekend in MN near Barnseville.  They got these two hens within about 10 minutes of each other, I was more excited to help them get their first turkeys than for me to get one.  The birch trees still had some of their leaves left and they were a bright yellow and other than the weather which was 85 or so on Saturday it was a beautiful weekend.

nope Mark those are a good ways off from Paint Creek. They are in Pike Forest close to Nipgen. I seldom spring hunt it, but it has paid off several times for fall birds. There is just too much pressure in the spring, but I've never ran into another fall hunter there. For a price I'll give ya the exact location! Speaking of paint creek, I do have a farm I hunt down stream of the dam and it has a good flock of birds.

That pic of the pond . It looks like the one down at the bottom end of the overflow, near the dam. At least the way I remember it ,,,,been way over 25 years since I saw it .

Attached is a picture of Tim Bullock from No Bull Custom Calls, North Carloina and Marlin Watkins and his dog Cutter with Tim's first ever fall turkey taken today (10/14/10) in Ohio.  I think the smile tells the story. After today, I think he is hooked on fall turkey hunting. They do not have a fall season in North Carolina.
