Hey Arnie,
For me it depends on the time of day and the area I'm hunting. I've shot fall birds in both in fields and woods. Early and late the woods works best for me but fields of cut over grain can be very productive in the middle of the day. Either way, it's a lot of fun. We have just over a month until the fall season here and I can hardly wait.
