If you fill your tag and have spare time consider a trip to WI.
As of this morning 9/2 there were 43,458 left over tags in units 1,3 & 4. Season runs from 9/18 to 12/31 with a 9 day break during firearm deer season. At the end of the 2009 season 26,834 tags were left unsold.
There are only 26,000 fall turkeys in all of Wisconsin.
So many tags - so little time. [:D]
BTW, nonresident tags cost only $15 and they too can buy one per day.

Hey here in Tenn.everyone get to hunt this year,in the past you had to put in for tags.To bad our fall season or mid-winter hunt is not until Dec.

Consider coming up to Wisconsin there are plenty of tags available with thousands of acres of high quality public land to hunt. Only 26,000 hunters bother getting a fall tag and most of those are archers hoping a turkey stumbles by their deer stand.

Plan on getting Fall tags this weekend for KS. First part of the season starts Oct 1. Only get to hunt first season due to deployment to Iraq.

turkeyfreg, Oct 1 is not too far away; sure hope you have a great hunt before deployment. Are you from WI?
I hear Kansas has some good turkey hunting; been meaning to try it out someday. Let me know what you think of it.
