Redheart & Poplar

This Gibson I did with Redheart over Poplar. This piece of poplar came from northern WI and when I cut it, it turned out to have a bunch of lead shot in it. Someone must have took a poke at a grouse when the tree was younger because it didn't have and holes in it when I first cut the block. I wonder it that is what caused the color change in the wood? Kind of unique.
