Few Pot Calls

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » June 9th, 2010, 7:34 am

Been working on box calls lately, but took the time to do a few pot calls. Holy slate over glass, Cherry Bronze glass over Canary, Canary slate over glass.

Thanks for looking Scott

That bronze glass over canary makes a pretty call. It almost looks like furniture! Would be a very retro looking coffee table [:)]

Well kind of, they have a pedestal on them. That design is for us northern boys that ware gloves in the cold spring, with that pedestal you don't touch the call with your hands, so you don't alter the sound of your call by waring gloves. You can also set the call on your lap or down beside you and play it one handed and it won't effect the sound of the call any.

Scott has developed a solid design that works...though I have not played one myself, I have talked to many guys who own his calls and love them. I personally think the design is very intuitive and ergonomic. Best part is they kill turkeys.

Scott, (Fargohunt) if you want to hear one of Mr. Hembrooks calls, remind me to bring it out next time you come over. I have one. Everyone should own at least one of these Willow Ridge calls.

willowridgecalls thanks for the reply. that makes sense. where i hunt in NC you don't have to worry about the cold to much you have to worry about how hot it's going to be and how bad the sketters going to be.

I can honestly vouch for the calls from Willow Ridge . That pedastal design is great . I never remove my gloves in the woods ,,,no matter how warm it gets . Public land hunter you see.

I can never keep it straight in my mind just what Scott called mine ,,,,Cherry & Glass is all I can remember .

 It's a sweet call .

Mark your call is the same as the Cherry call in the pic. [;)]
