Weight Watcher bird was 16 lbs 11.125 in beard and 1 in spurs...

I took my son out all week long only to have him miss a 10 yard shot opputunity because he had his gun in his lap on Tuesday, Wednesday we went to the same spot and called up a longbeard only to have him miss, Thursday we went to a new spot and called in two longbeards across a creek after we ran off their girlfriends.

I told him you your lucky to get 3 chances a year let alone 3 in a row so he better appreciate that and give thanks.

It was a great week of hunting though, on Tuesday he had 3 longbeards 10 yards in front of him while I called from 75 yards behind the setup....he had his gun across his lap and got busted trying to raise up on them.
He learned a valuable lesson though...1 more tag for him and the season is done, this is the first year I have tagged out so early so I am living vicarously through him [:D]

Congrats on your fine season, Trace.  I'm looking for other hunters to call for because I finished early too. I guarantee you son is having the time of his life with all that gobbler activity so close.  Looking forward to the next picture. Good luck.
