Turkey Tip #18: Flow Time

As a gobbler approaches, move with him. That might sound like blasphemy, but it's rare that a bird walks right into your firing line. You have to move somewhat to shoot almost every turkey.

Some hunters call this "flowing with the turkey." If a bird gobbles to the right of your barrel, ease your body to the right. If he gobbles to the left, shift back left. As the bird appears, follow him with your barrel, and take the shot at the appropriate time.

This assumes that the gobbler is regularly sounding off On rare occasions you may be able to hear him walking in the leaves.

It's good advice, because if you need to make adjustments after he appears, or after he is in range, your odds of success begin going down.
