I have been to that part of the world as a tourista but not as a hunter. There were loads of oscillated turkeys in the park at Tikal in Peten, Guatemala. There are also too many Fer de Lance snakes in that area too. They are seriously attitude challenged and anger quickly. We've got snakes by us, but they are nothing like theirs.
The Oscillated's call sounds almost metallic. It is a strange, almost mystical call they make. It is about as curious sounding as those birds are beautiful. I'd love to hunt them one day. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy and appreciate hunting the Easterns I have until that day arrives.
