Not sure exactly where in the eastern part of the state you are hunting, but I honestly don't think it has affected them too much.
I live in the Northeast part of the state, and even though we had a lot of snow....the wind pretty much drifted it into specific areas. In most cases, you could still see the corn stalks in the fields around here almost all winter, even after the big snows. And where you couldn't there were open areas close by where they would be able to forage.
So, I don't think it had too much effect.. And, I've been seeing about the same number of birds when driving this year as I have in past years.
If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.
