outfitter or public diy?

Im coming to Madison wisconsin May 5-9. I'm looking to archery hunt. Does anyone know a good outfitter? Or any good public land for diy hunting! Preferably I would like to hunt with someone just lookin to go huntin! Any info would be appreciated

1,2 or 4 i think depends on my research id like to be within an hour and a half of Madison.

With the amount of public land in Wisconsin I can't imagine a turkey hunter wanting to hunt with a guide.

well I've never been to wisconsin. I have limited time and want the best chance at an archery turkey. Which is a lofty goal. i can afford it and the oppertunity to learn is priceless. I was counting on this site for some possitive feedback!

I know a guide in zone 2, not sure how booked up he is? I can give you his email if you'd like, just PM me. I assume you already have a tag for that time period?

Ted if you can't get hooked up with a guide and you get lucky enough to get a tag for zone 3. I'd be happy to take you out and show you a few spots you can work for a DIY hunt.

Ok cool i got a zone 1 tag today so im in the game if i get a zone 2 tommorrow ill call the guide you recomended thanks again.

I agree with everyone else out there, DYI on public land all the way! It's been the only way I have hunted for over 10 years, and Archery only...
Not to many kills but millions of thrills [:D]
I hunt WI RIVER PARKWAY LAND near Gotham some years in zone 1 my tag is for week B the end of April but I am not able to go this year[:'(]
Hope to go in May if all goes well right hear in the Valley...
