Zone 1 public grounds

This might be asking a lot if your someone who currently hunts zone 1 but does anyone know of any good public hunting land in that zone? I haven't hunted that area yet but would like to get out there and try that part of the state this year. Any info would be great. Thanks!

There is so much public land in WI ! The internet is the place to start, check the DNR web site...
I will return to the WI RIVER PARKWAY near Gotham if I can season B ...

arrowsonly is right on there is tons of government land in WI. SW area along the Mississippi and WI river are excellent.  Hunt them every year and see very few hunters afield. Lots of turkeys.

I'm going to be coming from the other side of the state and I guess I was looking for a place that wouldn't be over hunted. I've asked a few friends and they only knew of places that were pretty popular and worked pretty good. I'll start by checking to the parks next to the Mississippi. Thanks for the info!

If you have a boat bring it along.  It will give you access to thousands of acres most hunters do not bother with.  There is now some open waters in the Mississippi south of Prairie du Chien.  Checked some areas out the other day; looking good, very good indeed.
