Turkey Sightings Equal Spring Fever?

Finally some warmer days and spring fever is contagious spreading rapidly throughout Wisconsin turkey lands.
Turkey hunters are starting patrol. 

What are you'll seeing?

Winter flocks are breaking up in my area.  Small groups of gobblers are being seen strutting and fighting with some gobbling. 
Jakes seem to be everywhere in all my years I have never seen this many jakes. They have short beard stubble just starting to protrude from their breast feathers.  Multiple all jake groups of 10-25.  Have not noticed these types of groups in past years.

Anyone else seeing lots of jakes?

Hopefully going out this weekend to a piece of property that I haven't turkey hunted yet but have seen BIG Toms on before. Waiting on hearing my first gobble of the year and I CANNOT wait. I've had "the fever" ever since winter kicked in. April can't come soon enough! I'll let you know what I see.

While touring around unit 1 Found some nice beard dragging gobblers taking advantage of the hot lunch program. Stopped to chat with the farmer he invited me to hunt his land this spring and made me promise to come back in the fall.  Pretty sure I can live with those conditions.[:)]
Unit 1 has not sold out of tags spring or fall for the last 2 years.  The turkeys are thick in many areas there.

I got out a little last weekend. Didn't see or hear anybirds but I did see a fair amout of tracks and some scratching where the snow has melted to bare ground.

RNC what unit are you looking in?
I keep tabs in 1,3 & 4 .
Also been doing a lot of planning which unit and what time period to grab the extra OTC tags.  [8|]  Never too early to start obsessing over the next hunt.
