Vote for Your Favorite Box Call - Grand Slam Turkey Call Competition

Postby Ben Sobieck » August 14th, 2009, 10:22 am

Here are the top four box call entrants to the Grand Slam Turkey Call Competition. Each was recorded under the same conditions, with Brian Lovett at the helm. Which do you like best? The winner will receive the Box Call People's Choice Award. Voting ends Aug. 31.

Note: The entrants' names will not be revealed during voting. This is a blind vote. Also, the Grand Prize Winner, as determined by T&TH staff, has already been decided. He/she will be recognized separately. This voting is only for the Box Call People's Choice Award.

Here are the entrants:

Box Call 1

Box Call 2

Box Call 3

Box Call 4[hr]

Man these all sound very good to me and it was a tough call especially between 2 of them.

Will these calls be sold? I'll read back in case you've posted something on this.

Number 2 has a good back end yelp...front end totally says"boxcall"...really nothing special in the sounds...ALL of the clucks/cutting is terrible...

I agree Steve, front end sounds pretty good and then cuts just die.

#4 seemed to have the best rollover to me and decent cuts/pops.
