New turkey hunter with a question.

I got my second turkey this year. I am new to turkey hunting and self taught. No one to to turkey hunt with so I don't know much about turkeys. Anyway my turkey this year was 24# 1 inch spurs and has two beards one 10 1/2 inchs the other 11 inchs I was told this is a really good bird. Maybe a once in a lifetime bird is this true?
