Hi All,

Just signed up. I'll be heading out in the morning when I get off of work. I'll be taking the camera to get some pics of my daughters turkey.

Welcome from N.E. Indiana. Are you a 3rd shifter too? I hunted Saturday and Sunday then worked 9. I am ready for bed. Looking forward to the pictures.
Steve, I love "smoked" turkey

Yep, third shift it is Sunday-Thursday 23:30-8:00. Sorry no pics. I had to instill a bit of tough love on my daughter. She was not up and ready when I got home and had not registered for her spring/summer class at the local community college so I canceled the hunt which sucks cause it was a beautiful day. Tuesday she has a doctors appointment. So Wednesday looks like the first day. They are showing rain here so she will be getting wet... like I always say "you snooze, you loose!, there's always time for a nap in the woods" Good luck.

Thanks guys,

If all goes well I'll get off a bit early and head out for the shake down hunt in the morning. We'll be heading out on the 16th to set camp for my annual camping/hunting/vacation. I have reservation from the 16th to the 27th and will not have to be back to work until June 1st. Hopefully many good days in the woods and evenings by the fire.

Good luck to everyone!
Jim

Well this is all we have to show for the 2011 late season. My daughter said she was acting like she was eating them... not! she can't stand shrooms. A short summary of the hunts is wet followed by wet oh did I mention WET!. My 3 yr old Cabela Extreme Whitetails leaked so they will be going back for replacement. I thought I noticed it last year but was not sure, now I am. We heard some, seen some and had one within in range of the 20 on the 17th but he did not stick his head out for my daughter to shoot. Gobbling seemed later in the day and even some strong gobbling in the evenings. One morning my brother and I did some scouting for a different spot to hunt and saw 8 hens within 1.5-2 hrs of driving around.

Oh well, better luck next year.
