Poults

I saw a hen with about 10 poults on sat may 30th. I hope this cold wet spring gets over with soon or we might not have a good hatch. anybody else seeing anything???

Seen 6 hens yesterday, but no poults yet

I havn't seen any yet. I havn't seen many turkeys lately at all.

Where you at thats its been a wet spring? I live in Janesville and I'd say its been a little dry. Hunt near black river falls and when I was up there during last season it was very dry with a very high fire danger. It has been cool though. I did see 2 hens the other day about 30 yards apart and they both had a some poults.

I'm in Green Bay........and as i look out my window its raining and 55 degrees. I went for a walk today before it started raining and the low areas in the woods are pretty saturated to say the least. saw a hen all alone so i don't know what to make of that.

Was just up to door county at peninsula state park for a few days. It was wet and cold for sure. Made for a crappy camping time. Had to gobblers coming into my calling gobbling a bunch inside the park though. Didn't see any hens with poults during the long drive up there.

Too bad they don't allow hunting for turkeys @ Penninsula. At least I hope you enjoyed the 100th anniversary celebration.

The brass band was entertaining but I didn't really stick around to much to listen to them. [:D] 
Sure someday they'll allow special hunts there.

I was in the woods the other day and I saw 3 hens with about 15 poults. Later that afternoon I saw them again. Yesterday my dad saw 2 jakes in the woods. That afternoon I saw a whole flock of toms about 7 and one with a 10 in. beard or so I'll have to keep an eye on that one.[:D]
