I feel they are way behind schedule! I just got back from southern MN/WI border hunt the hens are moving alot during the day & not sitting on eggs yet. It's to cold they had 26 for a low in Houston MN last Saturday AM. Everything is running late, I am hunting again last season in zone 3...
I will agree w/the coyote issue. I camped on a ridge top in the middle of farm country for miles in Houston Cty. 5 nights, full moon on Fri/Sat ? There were at least 2/3 different packs howling at night w/several adults & kits, even the farm dogs w/join in. Just great when your trying to sleep outside on a #$%& bed & you get up @ 3:30 am. Trappers are far and few between these days...
Unless they are not there period, they'll show up sit & listen/watch...
look em' in the eye before you give em' the shaft...
be a man hunt public land...
