Parquet Teasers

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » June 5th, 2014, 5:00 pm

Just finished these two parquet Teasers up today. The rock maple/bloodwood-blackwood-curly maple call is headed to NY. The purpleheart/shedua-padauk-spalted pecan call may go to Nationals? She has a strong voice in it that starts out high and rolls over into a deep chatter rasp, but the soft talk is where she really performs.
Thanks for lookin, Scott

Thanks David, that one is just like yours.
I've been working on a few new designs for them. Some double sided Teasers, with the wood tongue on one side and a glass or slate on the other. It will give the calls a little different voices with the different bottoms in the calls?

Hey I'm finally able to get back on. Nice looking calls Scott and I hope the call does good at Nationals.

The bottom call has a PH lid but the tongue looks to be two different colors. Is the tongue different than the lid on that one?
Is it turkey season yet?

No Bryan, that's the red chalk on the tongue, I hadn't waxed the rest of the tongue yet on that call before I took the pics. Usually I wax half the tongue to give the raw wood some protection and that brings the color out.
