Shane Simpson's teasers

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » December 26th, 2013, 10:33 am

These two are headed to Shane for a trade we have goin on his video equipment (he is upgrading to a TV camera). One is a Yellowheart/Red Cedar and the other is a Maple/Chestnut, with walnut/port oxford cedar and walnut/mahogany strikers. I'm just putting the finish on them now and will be ready to ship soon. Both these calls are calls I had saved to send to Nationals, but as call builders go, you know how that goes  . Shane has heard and seen both these calls in the videos we sent him, and is waiting to get his hands on them.

Nice art work on the back of it.
Is it turkey season yet?

Yep, the old gobbler's grave marker beneath the old oak tree. :)

He's a lucky duck to get those two, believe me. If they are anything like the one Scott sent me they are fantastic.

That chestnut call is very close to a mouth call sound, which is what Shane uses most of the time for wokin birds, but it also has what a mouth call can't produce, that deep raspy sound of an old boss hen or jake.

Did someone mention my name? :) Seriously, those are some great sounding calls and I can't wait to get my hands on them! Maybe put a little gobbler blood on them too this spring.

These are great calls, mine have been blooded many times this fall. No matter the wood combos they are all remarkable turkey calls. That being said I'll have to order more of the different wood combos. Why? Just because. ;)

Had to laugh at the comments Shane made about his teasers, * these are easier to run that a push button call*, even his little girl Brooks can run them, I think she is 4yo ?
