I see no problem with feed being put out to help the birds during winter and to attract them to your hunting ground as long as your not hunting over a pile of feed when season comes in. I put feed out in different areas where I hunt to help the birds during harse winters. But. I limit the amount and frequency so the birds do not come accustomed to relying on the feed. If the birds get used to not having to forge for food it could have a reverse effect. Also. I don't want an unfair advantage. I enjoy the hunt. The areas I put feed are close to State game lands so it benifits everyone who hunts in the area. Not just me. I use cracked corn mixed with Beard Builder and a wildlife feed mix. As resposible Turkey hunters it's not enough to help keep the turkeys healthy during the winter months. We also have to think about whats fair and right. Just the way i look at it.
If it gobbles, runs on gas, or is married to you it will give you trouble!
