2013 deer harvested

Postby dewey » November 20th, 2013, 11:01 am

Here is the buck I was fortunate enough to harvest on November 9th in NW MN. 200 yards with my 7MM WSM 140 grain silver tip winchester ammo.

It is my largest deer ever and I plan to do a european mount. 8 pointer about 16 inches wide and weighed about 200 pounds on the hoof.

Congrats on taking a nice buck Dewey. I hope you didn't put him in the back of that SUV like that because I don't think the wifey would be too happy.
Is it turkey season yet?

Thanks. It is my buddy's work truck so we wrapped him up like a giant deer burrito to keep the blood from getting everywhere. The bucks nose was sticking out a little too far and got a little bit of blood on the back of one of the seats. If his company only knew what we used his truck for he might be in a little trouble:)

Nice buck. I hate it when they go through the burrs.

Nice deer for sure. Not bad shooting either!!! I am not a gun nut but the rifle looks just like my winchester model 70 308

Actually it is a Browning A-bolt 7mm WSM.
