Old Jack Pine

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » October 31st, 2013, 11:50 am

I had an old jack pine come down in a storm that I cut up and found that it has quite a bit of mineral staining in it, some reds and blue/gray colors through out the pine. Wasn't sure how good it would sound so I added a walnut top to it to give it a little higher pitched sound, figured it would be a flat dull sounding call being pine, but suprised me. It has a good clean deep hollow sound to it with good rasp. The striker is canary.
Thanks for lookin, Scott
