Rain at Last

Postby allaboutshooting » September 20th, 2013, 3:32 pm

A gentle rain started falling about 5:00 a.m. this morning and it has continued all day.

We really needed the moisture. Eveything was very dry and dusty. With bow deer and turkey season just a few days away, this should allow hunters to go through the woods without alarming every critter out there.

How is it where you live?

Thanks,
Clark

Well the rain is just now getting here. So far for this month we have recieved 3" of rain. It has rained atleast one or two days each week this month so far. This has been one of the wettest years for us. I hope we get a dry spell this winter because I would hate to see this turn into snow, just due to the fact that I hate snow.

We are almost under water. The ditches are standing full and the ground is saturated. It has been raining almost every day on and off for quite a while. I'm not complaining, we needed it, but our hunting lease and the farm has been soaked for almost a month. We weren't able to put in food plots because of the wet conditions.
Wish we could send some to those who need it.
